In 2008 Saturn opposition Uranus

In 2008 the planets Saturn and Uranus will make an aspect of opposition between each other.

What is interesting is that it happens around the time of the American election.

Saturn in the sign of Virgo, around 17 degrees will oppose Uranus in Pisces, marking a real strong, controversial political campaign.

Saturn in Virgo shows over concern for the details because the tendency of Saturn towards perfection puts too much weight on Virgo's natural sense of order.

It can brings obsessive concern for undue details. What is essential and what it is not, will be a main issue on the individual and national level.

Saturn is conservative, limiting, structuring, stabilizing the form-aspect in life.

Myanmar, Uranus and Neptune

In Burma the bloody repression by the dictatorial military junta, began the same day of the full-moon in Libra. During the day of the full-moon high energies are released as well as destructive ones.

We are confronted in this historical upraising with a deep, strong challenge between loving-kindness versus violence and ignorance.

Monks, nuns, students, and peaceful crowds, fighting for democracy and freedom , were beaten and shot dead, and the fighting is not over yet.

It has happened before: there was a bloody upraising in 1988 in Burma, but with a different scenario, it was almost unseen. Today, thanks to the Media and Internet, thanks to the bloggers, photographers, video makers, the bloody suppression of the protesters was seen across the globe . In spite of the military junta which blacked out the Internet connections, there will be always some brave individual who will get the news out, sending abroad photos, e-mails or videos.

We can recognise now, that we are witnessing an historical moment:”Spirit versus Matter at its lowest level”.

URANUS IN PISCES

Uranus the awakener, Uranus the flash of intuition, entered the sign of Pisces in March 2003, and will remain in Pisces until the end of 2011.

We, are now, entering into the Age of Aquarius. We are moving step by step, towards a growing expression of collective impersonality.

By “collective impersonality” I mean people that in all dealings will find the right central point, between the two poles in any matter, without being bogged down by too much subjective involvement. People who tend towards being self-less rather than selfish.

The 'personal garden” (the sphere of personal interest) becomes increasingly less important than the collective one: considering the whole of society and not just a part of it, is the response of this coming new age.

Through using the mass-media and the Internet, we are constantly aware of what is going on in the world at any time. We are not just spectators any more, but participants in the flux of world society.

Now with the Internet we have net-related-interconnections, that did not exist, until recently, with such effect on so many people over such a vast space and such a short time. This energy that flows through the Internet demands an impersonal state of mind, and heart.

This basic transformation, of our attitudes and thoughts, seems to have happened when two of the slower planets, Uranus and Pluto, entered in the sign of Libra ( Uranus entered in Libra by the end of 1968- till 1975; Pluto entered in 1971 and went out by the end of 1983 ).

CHILDREN OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM

We can see, in Astrology, that children born in the same period (within a decade), have some general characteristics which in later years, will be shared, and will mark periods of historical changes, either towards civilizations expansion or decline.

Sometimes also “the uneventful-silent periods” in history, show a certain generational characteristic.

This is mostly due to the signs and aspects that the planets Neptune, Pluto and Uranus occupy in the birth charts. These planets are so slow in motion, that they are prominent in signing periods or cycles which will affect the collective trends. The identity, of an entire generation of youth,will be affected by particular credo, ideas, ideals and beliefs.
