THE ELEMENT OF AIR IN ASTROLOGY AND PRANA

The element of Air is the life-energy which has been related by the Eastern Wisdom to Prana.
Prana it is a part of our breath, the eternal inflow and outflow of the vital air.

Prana not only is linked to all the living beings on earth as a basic factor , but it is “the life essence of every plane in the Cosmos” (Master D.K.).

The air brings within this aspect of life a vivifying and correlating energy pervading everything, anywhere. Prana radiates from the sun and when it comes into contact, via the ether, with our inner thoughts, ideas or ideals, it can modify their vibrational qualities; prana strengthens the fertile mind and the open heart.

Prana gives birth to all creatures, sustains them, and nurtures them.

The element of Air in Astrology rules relations, Prana energizes them, it is “the active power behind all vital phenomena “( Blavatsky).

In the East they believe Prana is the seventh element existent, the sixth, they say, is represented by the mind (“Manas” in Hindi), the others are :Fire, Earth, Air, Water and Ether.
